Arches National Park is an amazing area comprised of over 2000 natural sandstone arches and many other
rock formations. It is located in the
southern part of Utah close to to the town of Moab. Numerous Hollywood movies have been filmed in the park such as Thelma
and Louise and the opening sequence to Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
It is best to allow for 1 or 2 days to visit the park especially if you plan on hiking its numerous trails. I spent roughly 1 1/2 days
touring the park before heading off to Canyonlands National Park. Some must sees are Balanced Rock, Double O Arch, Delicate Arch,
Landscape Arch, North and South Windows, Courthouse Towers, and the Three Gossips.
