This beautiful picture of Cascade Mountain was taken from Cascade Gardens at the beginning of September.
When in Banff make it a point to take a walk to the Parks Administration Building and Cascade Gardens
which are located at the end of Banff Avenue. One of the most famous views of Banff is the view looking
up Banff Avenue with Cascade Mountain as a backdrop. You'll see it on many postcards. When I was in Banff,
I would often buy myself a sandwich and go to the Gardens for lunch (There is no admission fee). There are many benches and gazebos thoughout the Gardens and it is
a quiet place to just take in the scenery and relax. The Gardens are at their peak in August-September as the growing
season in the Rocky Mountains is later than most other areas and climates.
